Our Work: Surgery Tracking Boards
Surgery Tracking Boards
Surgery tracking boards have proven essential in sharing and distributing information to both patient family members and medical staff. The key to successful tracking boards is not only the value of the information but how it is being displayed to all parties involved. Visibility and accessibility must be considered.
The Challenge
A Mckesson Visibility initiative called for 86 LED displays to be mounted in waiting rooms, nurse stations and hallways throughout three facilities. This presented a unique challenge because each location had different light, height, distance and run time requirements.
The Solution
Seamless was able to determine what display size was needed at each location so that end-users could easily read patient information based on average distance and height from the tracking board. In most locations, the tracking boards would be monitored around the clock which required a commercial LED with 24/7 run time capability. Seamless positioned each board based on ambient light and ensured the auto-dim feature was activated on units that were in low-light areas in the evenings. Units mounted in hallways required extra slim mounting hardware and thin bezel LEDs in order to meet safety requirements.
